Remembering Mrs. Alma Loretta Johnson Boldery
Friday, June 14th, 2019

Our thoughts and prayers are with President Emily McQueary and her family from the loss of her grandmother. She was an avid supporter of our department as is the entire family. She loved coming to our fish fries and we will all miss her greatly. President Emily McQueary, Captain Justin McQueary and family we are here for you.

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of

Mrs. Alma Loretta Johnson Boldery

Mrs. Alma Loretta Johnson Boldery, age 74, of Milton, Kentucky entered this life on May 18, 1945, in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late William Goebel and Rotha Cull Johnson. She was raised and resided in Jefferson County until she was united in marriage to Gayle Kenneth Boldery on June 23, 1961 in Madison, Indiana. This happy union of 58 years was blessed with three children, Kenneth Gayle, Loretta and Dave. Alma worked for the U.S. Shoe Company in Vevay and retired as a repairer after 25 years of service. She then began working for the Trimble County Elementary School as a cook for eight years. Her years spent at the Elementary school and being with the kids was part of her favorite years of work. While working she was a full-time homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother. Alma was a member of Milton Baptist Church where she taught children's Sunday School for 32 years. Alma loved socializing with people, cooking, squirrel watching and crocheting, especially baby blankets. She adored her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Going to the Smokey Mountains and making memories brought much joy to Alma and her family. Alma fought a courageous battle for the past years but this time her Lord and Savior gave her a mountain that she could not climb. Alma passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 9:15 p.m. at her home with her beloved husband and family at her side.

A LOVING FAMILY

Alma will be missed by her loving husband, Gayle Kenneth Boldery of Milton, Kentucky; her loving sons, Kenneth Gayle Boldery and his wife Becky of Freemont, Ohio, and Dave Boldery of Verona, Kentucky; her loving daughter, Loretta Massie and her husband Mike of Milton, Kentucky; her loving grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Rachel, Eric, Chad, Ryan, Nicholas, Isaac and Kael; her adoring great grandchildren, Matthew, Brooks, Luke and Owen; her step grandchildren, Ronald, Angel, Joey and Carlos; her step great grandchildren , Destiny and Warren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, William Goebel Johnson, her mother, Rotha Cull Johnson, her brothers, Goebel, Deward, Dale, Bernard "Bumper", Bobby, Dickie, Tilford, and Aldred, her sisters, Rotha Catherine, Wanda, Mona, Freda and Zelda.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
